Bruges is a beautiful medieval city in Belgium.  It is referred to as the “Venice of the North”. It was wonderful to take a boat ride through the canal for a look behind the scenes of this quaint city. You will probably have to duck down though because some of the bridges are low.

I highly recommend having a pot of mussels in wine sauce and frites for dipping.  If you want to have a closer look at Bruges you could watch the movie “In Bruges” (2008). Where do you think we got the idea to come here?
